Like morning dew
They clinged on
Here, there
Everywhere
While, at other times
Nowhere in sight
A single touch
And they'd slip away
Leaving behind
Only a moist essence
Of that, which, once was
Another ephemeral existence
They came unbidden
And always left
Without a sound
All I could do
Was gaze at them
From afar, each time
As my fingers traced
Their broken silhouettes
Keeping behind
Those glass panes
Till they all faded
From my sight
One droplet
After the other
But never, altogether
Like a signature
Of those moments
That neither stayed
Nor ever effaced
Few and far
In between
You me and us

Loved the play of words.
"Of those moments
That neither stayed
Nor ever effaced"
Simply mesmerizing. Could visualize your words.
Creative lines about dewdrops, Ellora.
Can relate.
How often have our fingers tried to trace!
"moments that neither stay nor ever efface".
Such beautiful images and yet so succint
Loved the allegory. Precious moments are fragile like drops of dew on a cold winter morning. Ephemeral they may be, but they make everything seem fresher, cleaner, more beautiful.
Loved the beautification of words and blending with the essence completes it like a sweet symphony.
I can feel myself touching those drops through your words. Loved your poem.
I love the analogy. Memories are just like those dew drops they neither stayed Nor ever effaced..beautifully penned.
I loved the metaphorical use of words and such beautiful lines "Of those moments, That neither stayed ,Nor ever effaced". A lovely ,lovely poem, Ellora!
The analogy that you've tried to portray using the metaphors is simply superb. Loved your verses.
Wonderful play of words....
Ellora, I am always awe at the flow of the words in your poetry, the connect is strong and it looks like we are watching the whole scene getting enacted infront of our eyes.
I love these kind of poems. Simple yet so profound. Great metaphorical imagery. Maybe someday I could write like you. So much to learn from you. Thank you so much for being a part of the #UMeUBlogHop. #Jokerophilia

"One droplet
After the other
But never, altogether
Like a signature
Of those moments"
Loved the way you metaphor the continuation of memories in mind to the dew drops on the glass, after the other but never altogether. Amazing!

Even I feel so good when I see dew drops so I understand the essence of poetry you penned.
Poetry comes natural to you. Loved the lines
"Like a signature
Of those moments
That neither stayed
Nor ever effaced
Few and far
In between
You me and us"
So beautifully penned.
Such a tender poem Ellora. Relationships are nothing but a manifestation of moments spent together. Such a lovely metaphor of dew drops to bring them home.
You have a way of taking your reader to a moment and making them stay there will you. Loved the metaphor usage.
