The little yellow lights glistened
Outside the glass panes
In the shroud
Of the darkness around
Their fluorescent light
Almost cajoling one and all
To reach out
And captivate them
Making them your own
And bask in that
Sought after triumph
Like all those tiny fire flies
In the secure of your palms
But then, if only, ever
The candescence could be
Captured in its entirety
Perhaps, that's what is afterall
The most elusive virtue
Of any luminosity
For, as long as it is in view
The yearning remains
To conquer it
But when it is within
Its infinitude
Housed inside
Will remain inconspicuous
As always, as ever
PS: Posted as part of 8 days poetic marathon #PeetMeNotLeave. My gratitude to Anuradha Bhattacharyya ma'am for tagging me.
I read it almost fifty times since last night...on every occasion I have had encountered with a new window that stares at me smilingly...the illuminated vacuity beyond and crude darkness around...is it light that tempts me or the darkness that so passionately embraced it...or the wondpane that keeps two contrasting seekers separated...or am I am lured to the complete presence of the image that paints my thoughts into an image...or may it also be that I am the whole that liberates the light, dakness and the window with a blessed existence in the world of creations...am I the infinite...or a seeker of it...or a trapped soul that has lost in pursuit of seeking all the beauty beyond while light plays silently in dark chambers of my soul..I have now to look for....there...within...

When I wrote the poem I only had the glass pane in mind... Which separates the darkness, light in the darkness, it's reflection from that trapped Infinitude within.... which remains there silently inconspicuous.I loved the other layers of the poem that your words introduced me to that is if it's the complete image that I yearn for or am I that whole itself or do I yearn to be that whole. Thanks so much for unlayering more interpretations to my words Sir...:)
