H - Haphazard

Below the vast night's sky
Sprinkled every inch with
The twinkling little stars
Teemed, almost mirroring it
The gleaming yellow lights
Of innumerable houses
That sprawled across with
The streams of water trails
Coursing in-between
Through the ruffling
Of the whispering trees
Strewn all over
Around which, the night birds
Hummed silently a lullaby
As the ducks flocked together
And the insects composed
The night's symphony
Rustling the leaves
Scattered on the ground
Thus, spreading along
The nature's potpourri
However, a lone mind
Among all these
Kept rummaging haphazardly
For some kind of perfect order
In this cacophony
Of the universe's
Flawless disorder

I identify with that lone mind. Nature's potpourri is a beautiful phrase

You painted an ethereal picture of the surreal night rummaging with thoughts and their cacophony! Absolutely adorable!

Let us for the moment just enjoy the flawless disorder of the universe.

The vivid imagery is so soothing. Sometimes haphazard has a strange order (much like my messy table). :D
Love this one, Ira.

You nailed it--the universe's flawless disorder. And yet, we want things done in a certain (dare I say--our) way!
Such evocative imagery Ira-loved it. And such wisdom.

"universe's flawless disorder" - uff! I am moved! Somehow I was reminded of Van Gogh's Starry Night painting as you began. Keep rocking, Ira.

I love the concept of ordered chaos. It's so easy to miss the order beneath that chaos.
